Lauritzen Gardens  Located along the Missouri River, Lauritzen Gardens is a 100-acre botanical garden featuring a rose garden, childrens garden, model railroad garden, Japanese garden, and Victorian garden. Joslyn Art Museum  The Joslyn Art Museum showcases 19th- and 20th-century European and American art and Art of the American West. Omaha’s Henry Doorly Zoo and Aquarium  The Henry Doorly Zoo contains 130 acres of exhibits, including an indoor desert and the largest indoor rainforest in North America. The zoo was named the best zoo in the world in 2014 by TripAdvisor.  Image courtesy of Visit Omaha

Fontenelle Forest  If you’re up for a slightly longer drive, Fontenelle Forest in Bellevue boasts a brand new adventure ropes course, the Raptor Woodland Refuge, and many miles of hiking trails. Old Market Entertainment District  Omaha’s Old Market is the place to be for the best restaurants, drinks, boutiques, and entertainment in Omaha.
